Leica M11 Glossy Black & Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH GB Released

Leica now releases a special version of the M11: Leica M11 Glossy Black and Leica Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH Glossy Black.

The newly released version of Leica M11 - Leica M11 Glossy Black, or "Glossy Black" - continues with Leica's design philosophy, and is based on the M11, but has some design adjustments. The camera's top is made of brass, and the dials and on/off button have a high-gloss black lacquer finish.

We have previously also seen the special version Leica M11-D which was released about two months ago, also with similarities to the Leica M11.

Additional details include "Leica" engraved on the top and the high-gloss chrome shutter button, a concept meant to remind of the classic M camera. The time and ISO dials have a cross-hatch pattern, but this time we do not find the red Leica dot, which is a deliberate choice by Leica.

The lens Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH is released simultaneously in a glossy black version. This makes the classic lens suitable for the new M11 GB with black lacquer finish. This design variant is based on the series model. The new version has a round lens hood, front and rear lens caps with high-gloss black lacquer finish, and a red scale marking.

Accessories in cowhide leather are also released with the camera.

Leica M11 Glossy Black has a recommended price of 107,900 SEK including VAT. The Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH lens has a recommended price of 94,900 SEK including VAT. The accessories cost 3,500 SEK for the half-case, 4,590 SEK for the bag, and 1,390 SEK for the strap. Camera, lens, and accessories are available now.
