Stockholm, Sweden, April 3, 2025: Today, Nikon introduces the brand new Z5II, a powerful FX-format camera for advanced hobby photographers and a significant development step for the Z5 series. The Z5II is an exciting all-round camera in a compact full-frame model, packed with features taken from the professional Z-series cameras. Users can let their creativity flow with fast intelligent focusing, excellent low-light functionality, a bright electronic viewfinder, 4K UHD video, precise color control, and refined ergonomics for more intuitive handling. 

Equipped with Nikon's most powerful image processing system, the full-frame Z5II camera offers incredible possibilities for handheld photography. An ultra-wide ISO range, multi-subject detection with 3D tracking, and AF sensitivity down to -10 EV provide perfectly focused full-frame images - even in darkness.1 Additionally, Nikon's proprietary focus point VR can reduce image blur around the active focus point with vibration-reducing image stabilization equivalent to up to 7.5 stops in the center of the image and up to 6.0 stops in the periphery.2,3 PRESS INFORMATION 

The compact Z5II has a sleek design designed for secure full-frame photography with a fully articulated tilting touchscreen. The electronic viewfinder with a high luminance of 3,000 cd/m2 makes it much easier to compose the image in bright conditions. Many creative features for both images and videos, including the Picture Control button, can be used to preview and switch between inspiring color profiles in real-time with a single button press. Filmmakers can record 4K-N-RAW video saved directly to the camera's SD memory card, and users who want to use color grading or achieve a specific cinematic feel with RED's LUT tables can create video sequences in N-Log, providing greater flexibility in post-production. 

Nikon's ergonomics ensure that Nikon users immediately recognize themselves, and those upgrading from the Z5 will notice a deeper grip and a more intuitive button layout. Despite being compact, the Z5II has space for two SD card slots and is equipped with dust and drip protection on par with the acclaimed Z6III.

24.5 MP FX IBIS sensor: full-frame sensor with built-in image stabilization (vibration reduction) equivalent to up to 7.5 stops in the center of the image and 6.0 stops in the periphery. Focus point VR prioritizes stabilization around the active focus point.2,3 

Higher, cleaner ISO: maximum ISO sensitivity of 64,000 for still images and 51,200 for video. Sophisticated noise reduction that provides cleaner images in low light, with rich saturation and great detail. 

Faster, sharper, smarter autofocus: The AF system is 68% faster than in the Z5 and has a sensitivity down to -10 EV for powerful performance in dark conditions. 1 Intelligent multi-subject detection and 3D tracking provide even greater accuracy. 

High luminance EVF: bright high-resolution viewfinder with a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits and the ability to adjust the brightness in 18 different levels. 

Large, high-resolution tilting touchscreen: 170-degree viewing angle. The image, information displays, and menus rotate automatically with the screen for smooth handling. PRESS INFORMATION 

Cinematic video: get maximum detail with 4K/30p or go up to 4K/60p (cropped). Record N-RAW video sequences directly to the camera's SD memory card and record in N-Log for more flexibility in color grading. 

Access your Picture Controls with a button press: preview and use inspiring color profiles for images and videos in real-time. Users can create and save their own color presets as Picture Controls with Nikon NX Studio. 

Connect the camera to the cloud with Nikon Imaging Cloud: automate the storage of photos and download image recipes from Nikon and other creators directly to the Z5II. 

Advanced AF-A mode: detects the most subtle movements to switch from AF-S (for stationary subjects) to AF-C (for moving subjects) as needed. 

Up to 30 fps with pre-capture: capture the exact right moment in fast sequences, even if it occurs before the shutter is released.4 

Better sound: equipped with a 3.5 mm jack for an external stereo microphone and a headphone jack. 

Improved ergonomics: deeper grip for greater stability, intuitive button layout, and two SD card slots (UHS-II). Compatible with the MB-N14 battery grip, which can be used for vertical shooting or to extend shooting time compared to just the Z5II battery. 

Weather-resistant construction: lightweight magnesium alloy camera body (approx. 700 g, body only) with dust and drip protection on par with the acclaimed Z6III. 5
