Sigma lens for Canon RF available this winter

Sigma now announces that their previously released DC DN lenses in APS-C format for Canon RF/RF-S will be available this winter, and also at what price.

In April this year, Sigma announced that they were about to release six of their DC DN APS-C lenses for Canon's RF mount. With the license for manufacturing, Sigma became among the first to be able to produce lenses with working autofocus for Canon's RF mount.

The Contemporary series from Sigma is already available for several other mounts: Sony E, Fujifilm X, and Leica L-Mount, and three of the four f/1.4 lenses are also available for Nikon Z and MFT.

But now we have confirmed that the following lenses will be available from December 5, 2024:

The following two lenses are planned to go on sale in January 2025:

Mount Conversion Service is available to convert other mounts of Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, Sigma 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, and Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary to Canon RF Mount, after they are launched.

[Main specifications and features]

Control algorithm including AF drive and communication speed optimization has been developed specifically for Canon RF Mount interchangeable lenses. In addition to realizing high-speed AF, the lens also supports AF-C (Continuous AF), in-camera aberration correction* and in-camera image stabilization. The mount is rubber-sealed to cater for use in a variety of environments.
