Sigma 12mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary - ultra-wide angle for both video & still images

The bright APS-C lens is suitable for both starry skies and landscapes, with its brightness of f/1.4.

In connection with the release of the telephoto lens Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS | Sports, Sigma is also releasing an ultra-wide-angle lens at 12mm for APS-C cameras with mounts for Sony E, Fujifilm X, and Canon RF/RF-S.

According to Sigma, the lens has the widest angle among f/1.4 lenses for APS-C, which corresponds to 18mm in full-frame format (19mm for Canon RF).

The lens is constructed with three double-sided aspherical lens elements and two SLD glass elements, providing high sharpness from edge to edge. The lens construction has also contributed to reducing the size to 69 mm in length and 225 grams in weight.

Focus breathing is also controlled, making the lens suitable for video, along with the autofocus's ability to smoothly track moving subjects. The lens also has a manual aperture ring for increased control, which on the Canon RF version can be assigned different functions like a control ring. Sigma 12mm F1.4 DC is also weather-sealed, like the other lenses in the F1.4 series.

Sigma 12mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary has a recommended price of 7,190 SEK including VAT. Sales start on September 4, 2025.
