Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS | Sports - bright telephoto lens in full frame

Sigma's new lens has built-in image stabilization and weather sealing - and is suitable for both video and still images.

Sigma continues to invest in new Sports lenses with high performance. This time, it is the full-frame lens Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS | Sports being released, a lens suitable for both sports and fast-moving subjects.

The lens is released for L-Mount and Sony E mounts and has an optical construction consisting of 19 elements in 14 groups, including 2 FLD and 2 SLD glass elements. The construction is designed to provide high optical performance even at f/2, and aberrations such as flares and ghosting have been corrected through a new simulation technique.

The autofocus is driven by an HLA motor (High-response Linear Actuator) that provides fast and stable focusing, while the lens has built-in image stabilization that compensates in 6.5 stops. The image stabilization has two modes, one for general photography and one mode for panning with the support of Sigma's Intelligent OS, which provides image stabilization even when the camera moves vertically or diagonally.
