Profoto B20 & B30 - designed for the demanding environments of professionals

Profoto's two new flashes are up to 50 percent stronger in continuous light compared to their predecessors - something that suits hybrid photographers.

Profoto is now releasing two new compact flashes for professional hybrid photographers. The flashes are based on the Profoto B10 models but have been developed to be used even more in the field.

The recharging time is said to be 13 percent faster than, for example, the Profoto B10X, while the workflow of changing or mounting accessories has been improved - to be able to switch between soft weak fill light to powerful lighting.

The flashes also have three different modes, ECO for energy saving, Boost for extra power, and Freeze for extremely short burn times. For hybrid photographers, the LED flash is about 50 percent stronger than its predecessors in continuous light, making it suitable for live broadcasts as well.

Profoto B20 is slightly shorter and lighter than B30, with a length of 21 cm and a weight of 1.9 kg, compared to 25.5 cm and 2.2 kg for B30. The reason is that B20 is weaker with 250 Ws compared to 500 Ws for the more powerful B30.
